Casting Development

Our Engineer at SMS Gears use advanced software like Solidworks for 3D Modelling and analysis. We follow best practices and control the process variables to eliminate potential defects prior to production to achieve short production times and reduced manufacturing costs

Moulding

We have a dedicated team and complete facilities for hand moulding for Sodium Silicate – Co2 process and Alpha Set Process for moulding and chemically bonded sand processes for core making.

Melting Foundry

Induction furnaces 150kgs, 300Kgs crucibles

Centrifugal Furnace: We can produce horizontal centrifugal castings with O.D. up to 300mm, length up to 100 mm, and weight up to 250 kgs.

We have extensive manufacturing and testing facilities to produce 286 MT per annum and of one-off castings or high repetition castings (in multiples of 100s) with optimal lead times. The melting process is carried out in a medium frequency induction melting furnace.

Knockout

The Knock out process involves the separation of castings from sand molds, sand from mould boxes and cores from castings. Operators are well-trained in the implementation of the process.

Fettling Shop

The fettling shop consists of hand grinders and heavy swing frame grinders along with Shot Blasting, Acid Pickling and Passivation facilities.

Physical Testing unit comprises of the following equipment calibrated under third party TUV, BVQI, DNV-GL, Lloyds & IBR.
